Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Idaho. I earned a Bachelor degree in social work from Utah State University and a Master degree in social work from Arizona State University. I have been actively working in the field of social work for 10 years and have experience working with a variety of populations and problems. As a therapist I offer a warm, friendly and calming presence that allows the people I work with to feel safe, welcomed and comfortable. My approach to therapy is collaborative and personalized, and I see every client as a unique individual with their own distinct strengths and abilities. I am passionate about helping my clients discover their personal strengths and learn how to use them to unlock their power for resiliency, to cultivate hope, and make positive changes that will support emotional wellness and long-term stability. I believe that working together as equal partners throughout the therapeutic process is the key to successfully reaching your desired goals. I enjoy working with people of all ages and have experience treating mood-related disorders such as depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. Other areas of treatment include anger management, stress management, communication skills, coping skills, self-esteem and behavioral concerns. I offer individual, family and group therapy sessions. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) using the Equine Assisted Learning and Growth Association (EAGALA) Model. My true passion has been found in the equine-assisted psychotherapy approach. Incorporating horses into my work with clients brings a new element to the therapeutic process that is insightful, powerful, and unforgettable. I have witnessed countless benefits to EAP and its ability to help clients make impactful shifts towards a happier, healthier life! Making the decision to begin therapy is not always easy, and it takes a lot of courage to work towards your personal healing and growth. I will meet you where you are and provide support to you throughout the process. I believe in you, and I believe that healing is possible. I look forward to connecting with you soon!
